Free Scarf Pattern and How To updates!

knitted yarn overs imageLeft handed knitters often have a difficult time learning to knit because the majority of knitters learn the right handed way, even if some of them write with their left hand. I had this pattern online for a while, but have since created a version that includes a left handed tutorial.

And some knitting techniques (videos) have been added to the How To list:

Learning to knit? Here's some techniques!

There's some new additions to the tutorials that I'd like to mention here:

How to Knit - How to Increase and Decrease Stitches

And the left handed version is here: How to Knit Left Handed - How to Increase and Decrease Stitches

We've also updated How to Knit - Weaving in Loose Ends with yarn needle techniques, to supplement the crochet needle option.

What's coming up? Well, we've received many requests for knitting with circulars and DPNs (double pointed needles) and also will be sharing some basic macramé knots. We've also got some basic sewing techniques in the works so keep your eyes open for more from Cyberseams!

Busy, busy, busy!! Continental Knitting and Left Handed Knitting!

Oh my goodness, so much to do! Thanks to everyone for your patience in waiting for the new tutorials. It's not so much a problem to get them on film, but the process of converting said film and then adding the instructions and the accompanying article - it can get a little hairy sometimes. So, again, thank you! I now have some new things to share!

First off, thanks to a wonderful suggestion from a viewer, CyberSeams is now providing Left Handed knitting instructions. It didn't occur to me to include those - I now can't imagine why not! Wonderful suggestion and I so hope that anyone who has been using the "but I'm left handed!" excuse will now be excuse-free and happily knitting!

We've got new tutorials on the Continental Method for knitting up and more are on the way. Here are the links to the new tut's:

How to Knit and Purl Left Handed Using the Continental Method

More are on the way later this week!
